6 Months Home

Wow!  6 months have flown by and we have all come so far, grown so much and still have a ways to go!  Those first months were so hard as we adjusted and got to know each other.  Slowly but surely we have developed a new normal  and things run so much smoother and the kids are all generally happy and content.  I am just glad that we got through and we have come out on the other side a stronger and tighter family.  The ride is only beginning and the Lord has been so very faithful during this whole process and there is no doubt in my mind that his plans for the coming months are years are good!
Now to try and recap 6 months that have sped by but feel like there were a lifetime worth of firsts we experienced.  Many people ask "how are things going?"  and our response has always been "very good!"  at the time we are living moment by moment and dealing with situations as they came up and none of them on their own were tidal wave kinds of issues however when we look back we realize how exhausted we really are.  As far as older child adoptions go we have had an easy experience.  What we attribute that to?  Other than God's blessing we are not sure! He has given us SUPER kids and we are continually thankful for that!  Eliana and Justus have been through so much and I can not imagine how hard this adjustment has been for them.  I'm sure in the years to come they will tell us more and more, as they process, what it is like to loose everything, family, culture, language, climate, food, school, familiarity and start again.   They are strong.  Very strong!

I have realized that this is going to be way too long of a post if i don't separate this out by months using photos.  SO I will do retroactive monthly posts.
