Yes! We have received a court date in Bulgaria. The day when the judge will declare our children as Thiessens. October 12th, Thanksgiving Day is the day that was chosen for us and we are excited! The judge that was assigned to us has said that the children do not need to appear in court that day. Our agency there will represent us and then their birth certificates will be printed with our names on them! After this we will share their new names and pictures with y'all!
The usual time line is 4-6 weeks after court we can go and pick them up!! After October 12th we will get a date to return to Bulgaria.
We have been skyping twice per week with Sevy, Geero and the English teacher and texting with them through out the week. It has been great to stay in contact.
Tomorrow they start their school year and they said that they are OK with going to school.
We miss them so much and we can't wait to see them in person again!
Please pray for them! This is a crazy big change about to happen in their lives! We talk about them coming home and that is what it seems like to us but for them, they are leaving home. Leaving everything that is familiar and comforting for them. Strange people, different food, new climate, new schedule. I can imagine that they are feeling very torn. They have friends that they will leave and may never see again. Please pray!
