Much Tough Love

We have one child who is ultra emotional and extremely impulsive. It has really surfaced this week (not that it isn't always there but it has gone through the roof) and wow, does that make for a challenging week!! It has been good though. I know that we are making some break through in their heart. We know that this child is going to be a great warrior for the Lord as they grow up. They pray with such a fervor and a passion to know and glorify the Lord. However, this passion also spills over into wrong avenues and is aimed at siblings in not so loving ways or into reactions to everyday occurrences. Oh it is hard to reign in the fleshly ways of impulsiveness. It is causing me to have to again lay down my selfishness and look at character training as above all else. I feel like this is such a critical time for this child that I am trying to be willing to JOYFULLY put school work, house work, personal time, naps, and comfort aside to make sure that the training and guiding takes place. After all if my children don't have strong character then what do they have? The Lord is molding me just as much as He is molding this little one to be more like him! I can't wait for the Lord to unfold this child's destiny! It is going to be exciting! Mean while, we will water, prune and care for the tree!
