Day #7 Friday

Today was the first day with out Sevy and Geero.  It is sad but a necessary step to get them home.  We are well set up to connect with them every week until we come back for them so that is reassuring!  Our hearts will be torn between 2 countries for a few months but we will soon have them home!
We got to sleep in today and after a late flight and getting to our hotel around midnight it was great not to get up early.  We met one of our agency representatives at noon and walked to the notary's office to sign papers.  We give our agency in B the right to represent us in court and at any other appointments that need to happen.  We have to sign a paper agreeing that we will not sell the children's body parts!  I know!  CRAZY!! Just covering all their bases! To be honest I was a little floored when they read this out loud! Maybe planned parenthood is known all over the world??  We agreed to complete all our after adoption reports and a few other legal things.
Once that was one we had coffee with one of the head guys at our agency just to chat and then we had the rest of the day to explore more of the city and process what had just taken place.
I'm not sure how to sum up what happened during our week here.  It was the start of the miracle of adoption.  The start of a new identity for Sevy and Geero and for our family.  We didn't know if they would want new names but it is special that we were able to give them new names upon their request.  I often think of how God changed Abram and Sari's names when he called them and made a promise to them.  And how he changed my name from enemy to daughter and friend when He saved and adopted me.  I can't think of a more encompassing way to express your new identity then being called by a new name.  What a high privilege to add a new name and a new chapter to our new children's lives!  Once we pass court and our names are on their birth certificates we will introduce these 2 spunky and precious children to you!
We can not say enough good things about our B side agency!  They have taken care of every little detail and walked side by side with us through this whole week.  What a job they have to facilitate the expanding of families!  From the time they met us in the airport with a sign; they have advised, cared for, translated and worked tirelessly for us as we experienced this monumental week.  Thank you Vesta!  We could not have asked for a better experience!
