First Kids Club. Mexico

January 10th
This was such a busy day!  We are completely exhausted but it was good!
We started out working at the mission center in the morning.  The guys are working on the new dorm building, finishing bathrooms, installing lights, painting and other odd jobs.  The rest of us were getting the crafts ready for the kids club in the afternoon.
We went to a church in Santa Clara to hold a kids club focused on the 6 days of creation, the way it is taught in the Bible.  We had some songs, puppet shows that our kids did in Spanish and a craft depicting the 6 day creation week.  Our translators helped us out a lot and a good time was had by all!

 After we finished the kids club we went over to Fatima where Brian and Clarissa have worked very hard together with Pastor Raphael and his wife Maricela to get this feeding and kids program running successfully.  
What a GREAT job they have done!  We got to enjoy their singing time and then we shared our songs and puppet plays with them.  Afterwards it was time for supper and even though there were 100 kids there the chaos was minimal!  The program is run entirely with community volunteers now and they are doing a wonderful job with these children.  This is some of these kids main meal of the week and a few wait days for this food!

 This little girl was very serious about her eating and even when her plate fell on the ground she picked it up and continued to eat.

 Our kids not too excited about another plate of beans.  It hit me all over again how ungrateful we are for food.

This is the young mom, Raina from the Coke ministry.  She came to the Fatima program and she loved it!  She lives close by and wants to start coming regularly!
